So I headed to the nearby deli to grab a kombucha for myself (it’s my way of avoiding soda and pretending I’m super #healthy) and I got an interesting email notification.
I don’t really remember what made me want to open it but I do remember feeling like reading that email as soon as possible was super important.
As soon as I got in line to pay for my pineapple flavored beverage (it was amazing, btw), I opened it up and read it. It was from one of my favorite business coaches and she was letting me know she had a new YouTube video up.
β
I marked the email as ‘unread’ so that when I was back at my desk, I would have it as a reminder to watch the video…it sounded v interesting π
I knew this would work because I check my email once a day. So I could guarantee that I would be watching it soon.
And I know I’m not the only one.
As business owners in the online space, email is our bread and butter. Even though other communication methods like Slack or DMs are gaining popularity, nothing will ever replace email. It’s how we sign up and register for events, send documents back and forth, and often follow up with leads to grow our business π
I for one use emails to schedule discovery calls, send invoices and contracts, and keep in touch with newsletters from my favorite online coaches, influencers, and businesses.
And I’m confident that email marketing is here to stay. The world just can’t get rid of it.
This means it’s time to either start or re-engage your email list. Even if you don’t have an email list, you can start one as soon as today to start building even stronger relationships with your audience.
For example, email allows you to invite people to respond and have conversations with you within the privacy of an inbox π«
And, you can go more in-depth on certain topics via email because people are expecting messages to be a little longer.
So today, I wanted to share 3 statistics about email marketing to show you why your business can benefit from incorporating it into your strategies.
βοΈ By 2023, there will be 4.3 billion email users so chances are, your ideal customer has an inbox waiting for you.
βοΈ Statistically, the average rate of return for $1 spent on email marketing is $42! Of course several factors are at play here but thatβs a ton of potential.
βοΈ You can use emails to promote a variety of things from organic content to paid partnerships. In fact, 9/10 marketers use email marketing to share organic content.
