The art and science of crafting words that inspire ‘maybe’ leads to taking action and becoming ‘heck yes’ dream customers and clients.
Even when you’re not on a discovery call or showing up on Instagram stories, your copy is doing the selling for you.
Even while you’re sleeping, spending time with loved ones, or binge watching Grey’s Anatomy - the copy on your website, in your emails, across your sales
pages, is serving your business as a 24/7 sales rep.
By infusing each word with your personality, values, and brand - you’re ensuring that your business is attracting and converting clients and customers, even when you’re off the clock.
Before starting my business, I would start my introductions by telling people that I went to law school, passed the bar, and am legally qualified to practice law in New York - so they take me seriously.
And now, as my business is growing, I still do the same thing because I’m met with wide, confused eyes when I tell people I’m a copywriter. The idea of pursuing any other work never occurred to me, even when I entered college, where I majored in law-friendly areas like History and Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies.
I was incredibly proud of myself for graduating, but knew that this wasn’t the right field for me.
To this day though, I often forget about that part of my life because I never felt connected to it.
I really wanted to want to be a lawyer - because it’s what everyone thought I would be great at. But once in law school, I realized that I wasn’t a good fit for the industry and there had to be something better for me.
Throughout college and law school, I kept up my side passion for working out and without realizing it, had my first taste of the social media and online marketing world.
Right before starting law school, I became a Certified Personal Trainer and ran a fitness Instagram account and YouTube channel to help inspire South Asian women to care for their bodies. I grew that account to 10K while studying for Torts and Civil Procedure exams before retiring it to focus on this business. (Fun Fact: I even thought I would do this work full-time).
I truly believe that my passion for fitness and content creation is what got me through law school, where I realized that I wasn’t passionate about a legal career. While I struggled with figuring out what I wanted to do in life, I started to notice myself struggling to get to class everyday and talk about my ‘lawyer future’ with classmates because I craved something different.

I used YouTube and Instagram to grow my online fitness business as a South Asian influencer for years. I decided to stop pursuing this venture and focus on my copywriting and marketing business for mental health reasons but I learned a lot about showing up confidently online.
I was thrown into the world of online marketing and all at once was learning about copywriting, social media marketing, email marketing, funnels, and more.
As I started learning more, the pieces were fitting together. The strategies and concepts and execution came naturally to me. And I saw how much opportunity and abundance there was for professionals and self-starters to create their dream lives online.
→ A few months after passing the bar exam, I started working as a marketer for a growing 7-figure media company focused on creating online courses to serve business owners through video marketing. I learned all the things from social media marketing, to customer service, to funnel building, to copywriting, and more.
I was incredibly grateful for that opportunity and decided to take my favorite part of my job - copywriting and marketing strategy - and refine my skills.
To spread my creative wings, I started freelancing for entrepreneurs across different industries and fell in love with the thrill of writing for different missions and markets.
A year and a half later, I took a chance on myself and went full-time with my work as a copywriter and marketing consultant.
The Azaad Agency was born out of a desire to serve business owners with values that align with mine and that are passionate about connecting with their dream customers, all while building freedom in my own life.
Within my first year, I worked with over 20 clients on their sales copy and launching through writing and strategizing for sales pages, email sequences, product descriptions, Facebook ads, websites, and launches.
I’ve had the honor and privilege of writing for a variety of industries, including SaaS, real estate, law, business coaching, social media, and love how I get to learn so much as a part of my job.
I am honored and blessed to work with beautiful and motivating businesses and entrepreneurs and am so excited to work with you, next.
Throwback to when I first started my copywriting freelance work and had a quick website made so I could have something to send potential clients. My color palette and site have definitely experienced an upgrade since then #thankgoodness.
